Ok, ok – so this is not my first time on the Diana Wrap Dress Rodeo (see previous post link here). However – this is my first sleeveless version and I am LOVING it!
Given that I’ve already gushed more than enough about the pattern in my last post, I will use this post to talk more about the transition to Spring/Summer. When I received this GORGEOUS Tami Brushed Poly Fabric from So Sew English Fabrics – I KNEW I needed a new dress for work that was timeless and would allow the print to shine – and this pattern ALWAYS delivers on that!
To maximize my two yards of fabric, I ended up cutting the skirt fronts and backs upside down (SUPER tricky with a repeat pattern like this) – but luckily it repeats the same in both directions (unlike some striped patterns) so I lined up the hems of both and crossed my fingers and cut away!
Bet you are having trouble finding the side seam – huh?
I was UBER careful to ensure that those large medallions were strategically placed off-center on my bust – no one wants any unhappy accidents!
This dress makes my heart sing – can’t wait to wear it for travel for my client meeting this week! What are you all sewing this week?
You’d look gorgeous in a burlap sack!
