Pattern Review – Alleycat Romper by Lil Luxe Collection

The Alleycat Romper by Lil Luxe Collection is one of those patterns that I was on the fence about.  I thought it was cute, but then didn’t know how I felt about the whole drop crotch, hammer-time harem pant thing…  Well, honey – I was SOOO wrong!  I don’t think a romper like this would look good on ME, however, it is darling for the little ones!

I decided to make the sleeveless version which has a lined bodice.  I didn’t want to add the long cuffs that come with the pattern so I made her a crop version with much smaller cuffs and I love the outcome…

She can run, play, and clearly fly in this outfit!

The back is cut pretty low, which isn’t for everyone and could likely be modified higher if you preferred..

We had so much fun taking photos and she had zero restrictions as we did.  The bonus for this active 3-year old is that she can use the potty easily – a requirement now that we’ve reached independence.

Overall, I think its a great pattern and I can’t wait to make more for preschool.  Most likely with sleeves and less back out though.
